LCRN’s May First Thursday during Compost Awareness Week: AD and Composting in the Urban Environment.
With the economic and social costs of managing biodegradable waste sustainably finally coming to the fore for the public sector and businesses alike, there’s never been a better time to look at how the community sector ...can play an essential role in developing and running the composting infrastructure across London and the rest of the country.
This month’s First Thursday will bring together the movers and shakers in London and will highlight the work of organisations that have led the charge rather than waited for fashion to catch up. In particular, we’ll be looking at the topic of the day – Anaerobic Digestion – and the importance of harnessing it for the benefit of the communities that it will serve.
Same time, same place: 6pm at the Miller of Mansfield (SE1 3SS)

The current watchword for environmental performance is Carbon, but how does carbon apply to reuse, what carbon savings does your organisation provide and what does the word mean? For answers to all these questions and more come to the April LCRN First Thursday, where we will give you an insight into the relationship be...tween carbon and resource management. We will also be calculating what carbon saving your organisation provides and introducing you to the LCRN carbon expert James. This promises to be an important event for anyone wanting to stay ahead of the game.
