Which way does EES go?

Call the office hosted Electric Eel Shock... they remain in the upper echelons of the best shows ever seen by me. Why there were only 5 or so people there eludes me to this day.
Growing Up Office!

It's hard to find a place to begin with C.T.O. and myself. I was the chubby little rapscallion who saw such greats as Nobodys, MTX, Groovy Ghoulies, Ruth's Hat etc. So many great bands, which inspired me to try to play music and score with real chicks (not just the sandwich bags of moisturizer I put between my mattresses [Thanks Cusick!]).

One of my favourite venues to play at, and watch within. I will forever hold C.T.O. to the standard of forefront music, great times and unforgettable moments that still rock me to this very day.

I may or may not have also boned a girl on the second floor last year (sorry, it's true but wanted to make this sound less Emo... err... No, Emo was the right word).

Talked to them after they played their main observation was that people here are very large .. "Is everybody in Canada so big?"
we said Yes it's the growth hormone they put in maple syrup, they seemed convinced.

one of the best bars in Ontario-

I"ve been going to CTO since I was 13- and that was before all ages shows existed ! I've seen some great shows there and look forward to seeing many more. London has been very lucky that there's been someone in the city who gives a shit and exposes us to new music, instead of selling out and adding another useless crappy dance bar downtown. (thanks Tony!) I remember for a couple of years in the 90's sometime I saw so many great shows- Girls Against Boys, Sponge, Semisonic, Rocket from the Crypt, Wild T and so many more. I say that I've seem amazing shows there, rather than seeing bands there because I've seen lots of bands play there that I couldn't stand, but once you're in the CTO environment sweaty, bass is in your head, etc you can't help but get into the show. But if you still hate it, there's always the patio! If you're planning a visit to London, or you're a student this should be one of your destinations before you leave the city. There's a good chance you'll see a band that you hadn't heard of yet, but within a year they'll be on top of the charts and you can be the cool one that saw them at a small venue!!! A great example of that is Radiohead, yep Radiohead played there once. But when they came back to London on there OK Computer tour and played at Centennial Hall, guess where they hung out the night before they played? Yep, good old CTO- I think that's the best endorsement for any bar, to be so uber-cool Radiohead hangs there!!
Al reminded me of the brief Promised Land phase- my good friend Arthur won the contest for re-naming it. I hated the name, but zipped my lips because Arthur was able to choose a couple of friends to help celebrate his prize (bar tab) and I was one of them.
Back in the Old Days...

I used to hang out at the Office back in the late '80s-early '90s. It was a dive bar that didn't check ID and smelled vaguely of urine. It had no patio, one bar and one pool table that looked like it had fallen off of a building. And it was awesome. I've watched it evolve over the years (including a very traumatic period of time when it closed) and am so proud of the quality of talent it showcases and the cleanliness of the floors. I'm too old and live to far away to go there anymore, but it will always be my favourite bar in this big ol' world.

Rumour has it that Tony is changing the name of the bar to 'The Promised Land".
Kidding.
Wonder what the percentage of income was spent on that fine, fine 50.
