Dance UK Saw the amazing solo performance by the dancer Lutz Förster, (a long term dancer with Pina Bausch) on Friday. French choreographer Jérôme Bel came up with the concept for the show in which Lutz talks about his career. Lutz created the heart wrenching section of Nelken with the sign language... see clip

Dance UK Just got back from Hamburg and the Tanz Kongress - a conference attended by over 1,000 dance professionals. Germany has a 4 year plan to develop dance infrastructure with a 12.5 million euro budget, (click on link below for more info). Dance UK Calling visual arts fans - here's another exciting artist / choreographer collaboration. Tatsuo Miyajima has designed the backdrop for Wayne McGregor's new Royal Ballet work which opens this week. Definitely worth a look we think.

Entering Tatsuo Miyajima's world is to take a step into darkness. Twinkling in the gloom are digital numbers moving upwards or downwards at varying speeds. Initially, the ticking digits disorientate as you try to make sense of them but soon you are hypnotised by their pulsing rhythms.
