Year 3 will focus on honing your craft and fine-tuning your interpretation and forecasting skills, and broadening your astrological vocabulary. Term 1 will focus on the process of articulating symbols, themes and aspects of the horoscope. Students will be given mini-res...earch projects and asked to present these in class. The rest of the year will continue in this vein but also incorporate other areas of astrology, such as electional astrology, family dynamics/patterns, business astrology, vocational, rectification, mundane, and focus on the consultation process and ethics. Term 1 will be spent sharpening and deepening your interpretation skills, working out major (and repetitive) themes in various horoscopes and researching biographies. There will also be time to consider transits from a mundane and personal perspective.

Term 2 is an enti...re term on forecasting, working with various forecasting methods.

Term 3 covers synastry, locational astrology, the Huber Lifeclock, as well as the links between astrology and psychology.

The Cost of Being an Astrologer – Too High? with Shelley von Strunckel
Astrologer. It comes high on the list of exotic professions and low on those recommended as the path to riches. Many struggle to eke out a living from work with clients, others do it part time, some don’t even try. Even those with modest ambitions are frustrated by a culture that undervalues this subtle and rewarding pursuit. Before Shelley began her career as a media astrologer (The Sunday Times, Vogue), she experienced the challenge of making a living as a consultant astrologer. Today, she’ll discuss her experiences and suggest how to build a bridge between astrology and the world of commerce.

For our fourth conference, we’ve invited back some of the UK’s leading experts in the field of hand analysis. Rather than a theme this year, we are offering an exciting weekend course in the major areas of hand analysis. There’ll be somethin...g for everyone attending – for newcomers to the subject and for experienced hand readers. A study session concludes each day – a chance for attendees to team up in small groups with the experts and explore what they’ve learned by analyzing their own palms and prints. (Arrive at around 10am for the chance to have your hands printed.)

When examining hands, where do you start? And how do you know what’s important and what’s not? Frank will address these questions and offer his Top Ten Tips for budding palmists.

Peter West: THE BODY LANGUAGE OF HANDS
Peter will reveal how much information can be garnered from an initial observation of the hands: how people carry them, the wearing of watches and rings, and the all-important handshake.

Robin Lown: THE KEY TO HAND SIZE AND SHAPE
Categorizing hand shape can cause problems for students. There are 7 traditional and 4 modern types. But essentially, it all boils down to 2: palms are either wide (the practical realist) or long (the conceptual ‘mentalist’). So, which one are you?

Jane Struthers: DIGITAL PALMISTRY: FINGERS & THUMBS
Our digits reveal so much about us. What do yours say about your self-confidence, thought processes and attitude to money?

When engaged with clients, it is vital that you understand the person you’re speaking to – their level of perception and type of intelligence. These factors can be derived from the Head Line, which also says much about your talents, interests and mindset.

Frank Clifford: THE LIFE LINE
Encircling the Venus mount and thumb, this line is part-Mars, part-Venus. Discover how it reveals your physical stamina and the extent to which you engage in life and strive for fulfilment.

Johnny Fincham: THE HEART LINE
Johnny will explore the many variations of this line and introduce the passion and flirtation lines, which attach to the Heart Line.

Johnny Fincham: THE FATE LINE
The Fate Line is, ironically, about your sense of finding yourself. Johnny will examine the various manifestations of this major line to reveal its full power and potential.

Frank Clifford: UNCOMMON MARKINGS
Frank will introduce the Simian Line, the clubbed thumb and other fascinating and unusual signs found on some palms.
