Our Doctors use specialised handpieces which filter light from different parts of the spectrum. Each band of the spectrum has a wavelength that is ideal for different treatments, such as sunspot removal and vessel clearance.
The Photofacial laser will emit a pulse of light that is delivered to the skin using a specially... designed cool handpiece. The light is absorbed by the pigment in sunspots and the blood in visible vessels, and converted to heat. The heat dissolves the cells that create the pigment and shrinks the vessels
Sunspots/ Sun damage: The sunspots will darken after treatment and be naturally shed form the skin within 1-2 weeks.
Rosacea: Skin tone will be more normal, with less pronounced redness within a week after treatment.
Spider veins: Vessels normally disappear right after treatment or they may appear darker and then fully or partially fade within 10-14 days.

Afterwards, you are taken to have your face scanned by a specialist computer system in preparation for a consultation.
You are then led downstairs for treatment where one of our doctors will meet you and take you through your initial consultation and treatment. We make time to discuss issues, expectations and analysis of your facial pictures. Then we'll produce a treatment plan and execution of the first treatment.
