Members:: The London Uyghur Ensemble is UK's first locally-based group performing the music and dance of the Central Asian Uyghurs.The members of the London Uyghur Ensemble includes Uyghur musicians from the Uyghur homeland - East Turkistan or Uyghuristan (currently the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China) and from the Uyghur diaspora in Kyrgyzstan, and British enthusiasts for Uyghur music. Our repertoire includes songs, instrumental music, dance, and the classical 'Twelve Muqam' suites. We perform at Uyghur community events, at festivals and concerts in the UK and abroad.
