Longitude Exciting news for the PROFESA Academy. The organization Dining for Women has choosen Longitude as one of its featured monthly programs in 2010! This grant will allow the PROFESA academy to provide an even better education to the young women of Abeka, Ghana.

Longitude Early October saw the worst flooding in Southern India in 100 years. Support Longitude’s efforts to help flood victims. Just $35 provides food, clothing, and medical supplies for a Dalit family who has lost everything.

The recent flooding of the Krishna River in the Andhra Pradesh region has affected around four hundred villages. So far the flooding has claimed more than 35 lives and over 12,500 cattle have been lost. This is the worst flooding that this area has seen in over one hundred years.

Longitude PROFESA students prepare for their government examinations. These tests are crucial for the students who for the first time ever will be allowed to take their exams at the PROFESA school itself.

PROFESA’s mission is to serve the sprawling community of Abeka, Ghana as a non-profit job training school offering, computer education, and health information to students who have had to drop out of high school because they cannot afford school fees.
Longitude Due to weather and changing seasons the Longitude Softball Tournament will be postponed till the spring. Thanks to Dunkin Donuts, Dominoes Pizza, Farmer + First, and Sisters for the Cure for their patience and support of this tournament.
Longitude Tomorrow is Longitude's First Annual Charity Softball Tournament. Of course it is once again forcasted to rain, but we're playing anyway so show up and support the PROFESA school. We'll be at the softball field on the corner of Atwood Ave, and Phenix Ave all day, from 8am on. Hope to see you there.
