I'm second from the left in the middle photo, the lone example in the group that Orange County is not barren territory for the arts. (Great event, by the way, Arts4LA!)

Arts for LA Report Out!
I attended tonight's meeting along with several other ACPN colleagues.
The meeting was extremely interesting. The District is facing huge fiscal challenge. But it does appear that the commitment to arts ed. is strong.

Still ACPN, as with all other programs are going face cuts. The key is to communicate and ill...ustrate to Superintendent just how successful the arts ed branch is and has been over the past nine years.

For ACPN partners it's crucial that you communicate the unique service your program provides with both Superintendent Cortines and your local school board member. They need to understand that these programs are an essential component to the Districts arts education strategy.
