Jeanette I AM FROM GERMANY WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN CONSERVING WATER AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. THEY ALSO CHARGE FOR PLASTIC BAGS AND HAVE BEEN BIG INTO RECEICLING FOR AT LEAST 30-40 YEARS. IF THEY CAN DO IT --WE CAN DO IT ! IT JUST NEEDS TO BECOME A HABIT.

Thomas Michael Thompson

Thomas Michael Thompson I was wondering; I just finished boiling some pork ribs and I need to dispose of the water (which has some 'liquid smoke' and red pepper seaconed
salt in it) - what's the best thing to do with this water? Does it need to be filtered first? I hate pouring water down the drain!!!

Parker Matas My company has a technology that is able to pull the humidity out of the air creating up to 1,319 gallons of pure drinkable water every day. Imagine if every home in California haf this technology...our water shortage would be far less of a challenge.

Vahe Esmaeili

Vahe Esmaeili I told my entire family about the water shortage and what they could do to lessen their need for water:
made them take shorter showers, sweep their driveways(heard that one on the radio commercial ;)), turned the sprinklers off and let the nature water the lawn, reuse water instead of turning on the faucet again. yea I ...feel good that I helped the planet in some way!!!LONG LIVE PLANET EARTH!!!

Lorne Haveruk

Lorne Haveruk Full Circle Water - where we use water many times for different uses requires a paradigm shift in the way we view water. For instance - shower water can be filtered and sent to a holding tank of other graywater (shower, sink, and depending on what soap and what you put in the water) - laundry and dish washer water can... also be collected. This graywater can then be used for irrigation, with any drainage water being collected in subterranean cisterns that collect infiltration water (also rainwater). This water can be used for irrigation many times. Once spent (used up) the water can then be used once for toilet flushing water. Welcome to FULL CIRCLE WATER. I am currently writing a book on all this and many other concepts - some tried and true others just dreams right now. I also do presentations on water efficiency and conservation topics of like this plus reclaimed water (rain, storm, gray) and reuse water (tertiary (sewer) water). Have a great day and make every drop count.

Kirk Cartozian

Kirk Cartozian Do this! I just found a great way for us to save a lot of water while shaving (approx 1 gallon/person) Quit letting the water run or filling up the sink basin! Most shaving cream caps are the perfect size to fit the razor heads and only hold 1/4 cup of water. So, fill that little cap up with hot water and use it to rin...se the razor as necessary. Did it this morning and my face is still just as smooth as a baby's butt.

Michele Steele Bresnahan Michigan such a beautiful State. Which of course I live in. Surrrounded by magnificant lakes. Lets focus on clean them up government and the people of MIchigan. Industry polluting the lakes. Neglect from its residents. Such apathy to how fortunate we are. We could be a wonderful State for tourist. We have the four seas...ons. Swimming, fishing, skiing, ice skateing, beautiful forests and even casinos. It is all there for others to see. With Michigan being the highest in unemployment it is time to focus on our natural resourses to make a living. Lets clean up our water folks and let people know that all the negative publicity Michigan gets because of Detroit is not the whole State of Michigan. That is one City. You could go to any State and there will be major crime in at least one City in each State. Do not judge us by Detroit. Detroit is not Michigan, just a City in Michigan.
