I'm not a big fan of the government, local or otherwise telling me what I can or cannot do with my animals. I much more in favor of education. As a kid we had all of our cats declawed. However, the last cat I ever had declawed never walked right again after the procedure. This prompted me to ask questions and llearn more about what was actually being done to my cats and I even sat in on one of the surgeries...never again have I had a cat declawed, never.

No Cat should ever be declawed - it's Cruel!!! How would you like your nails removed from your fingers? How could they defend themselves if they ever escaped from their owners? Love the idea of banning it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
