Melissa Bagley Another great time! Here's a link of the KP photo gallery.

Eva Lopez Hubbell the ocean was BRUTAL!! it took me 20minutes to do the sprint course!! But thank God I made it...glad I trained hard. We have a good team..Jeff on bike and my hubby the runner.... Our team NOVIBELL was 8th out of 62 teams...I cant wait to come back next year for the full course swim!!! Great Job everyone...stay healthy!!!!

Kevin Kwak Congratulations to all those that finished all three on that day! It was a memorable first triathlon especially facing the treacherous waves. I'm returning next year for sure.

Victor M Rodriguez Had a blast at the LA Tri...........Will do it again next year...........Got second in my age group by 14 seconds, next year I'll win!!!............Great event!!!

Diana Hyatt I want to give a" big thank you" to all the lifeguards and support staff out there in the water that day. My 16 yr old daughter was able to make it through the waves, she said she did listen to you lifeguards and your suggestions . I worried like any mother would and was so relieved and proud when I saw her walk out of the water from her Olympic swim.

Jennifer Sarr This was supposed to be my 1st olympic distance Tri but the waves weren't showing any compassion lol...man i really wish I was a surfer or something! nothing i trained for prepared me for that...i only did the bike and run portion....ill be back to COMPLETE it!!!!!

Justin Ewart Glad I grew up surfing in CA... Glad the race wasn't back in July when the waves were three to four times bigger... Thanks to the tip by the lifeguard to run North up the beach at the start... Great challenging swim without a board...

LA was my 1st Olympic distance tri. It has already been said but, thanks to all the lifeguards! You guys/girls were awesome! Thanks to one of you on the beach, I ran down the suggested 150 yards before entering the water and hit the bouy perfectly (albeit very tired). Thank you to all the volunteers as well. Your ...unrelenting positive energy was very motivating. I finished. I PR'd (ok it was my first). I loved it.
Trash cans for the volunteers would have made their jobs easier. porta-potties at T2 would have been good as well. Waiting an hour for my T1 bag was freustrating. Work on that. Thank you to the great volunteers at bag pick up who worked their buts off in helping everyone get their bags. For those participants who were yelling at them, BACK OFF! They were volunteers and it was out of their control.
I will be back next year.Read More

My first DNF! But, lesson learned. I will be working on my open water swimming and getting comfortable in bigger waves this off season. I am vowing revenge next year. Congrats to everyone who made it past those waves and a big thanks to the lifeguards. You are all an inspiration to someone like me who has had it ...easy in past tri swims with water conditions and spends too much time practicing in the safety & predictability of a pool :).Read More
