appt went well..have an endoscopy with dilation scheduled for dec 3rd..was told that major surgery isnt on the list of needed options..phew...but did find out that my esonophillic esophegitis if diagnosed and treated with the meds that are being used 5 YEARS after my first diagnoses may have prevented my stricture from becoming this severe...but apparently 5 years ago not much was known of the condition..but atleast i have more insight now as to the possible cause and treatment options

Fred Chrisman Amber you can put your self in Dr.Maish hands and rest easy, she has a staff of out standing people that see to your every need. Had I not had a slight hart rythem problem I would have been out in 7days back home. She makes 5 -7 small incisions for a camera and one forher hand which is about 3 " long and goes in and re...moves the bad part and makes a new one fromy our stomick. I had checked localy and they wanted to cut open my chest and the recovery time just for the bones to heal was 7 to 10 weeks not counting about 10 months for total recovery, I have a friend who had this done not good.

Thank you for the honesty...i've had my fair share of surgeries...not all relating to my esophegas..but in total well over 30 surgeries in my 26 years on earth..so i am no stranger to complications..but stil i am wary of any surgery. That picture is my daughter Isabella..she will be two in december.

Listen to what she has to say and ask questions, they will get answered. You will be fine, she did an amazing job on my dad. You are going to the best place, I have found in all my research.

You will find that Doctor Maish, Becky and all of her staff are top notch. You are not a number with them. They truly care for you as a person. They saved my husbands life! They will patiently answer any questions and if you need a return call...they are right on it.
