Wednesday’s public town hall meeting on Janss Steps might have been cathartic for faculty and student activists facing indiscriminate cuts to their departments, but thus far, the meetings have failed to attract the attention of the administration, the UC Board of Regents or the average student.

Who We Are:
The UCLA Fund is a campus-based fundraising group that supports the financial security and continued growth of the University.
What We Do:
The staff and volunteers of the Fund build relationships with students, alumni, parents, and friends. Our supporters make y...early donations to a campus area, department, school, or program of their choice. That money serves as UCLA’s piggy bank, allowing the University to provide scholarships, improve campus facilities and services, recruit and retain professors, and so much more.
Why We Exist:
Most of the funds necessary for undergraduate education come from the state – so when budget cuts occur, every student feels the impact. Only 8% of UCLA’s operating budget is covered by student fees, so the remaining amount MUST come from other sources. The UCLA Fund serves as one of the University’s additional sources of income, working to ensure our piggy bank is never empty.
When We Do What We Do:
The Fund collects gifts year-round, and students can get involved throughout the school year. With opportunities to connect on Facebook, events on campus, and the Senior Class Giving Campaign, there are many ways for students to participate in securing UCLA’s future. CHECK THE BACK FOR DETAILS!
How YOU Fit In:
Every Bruin can get involved with the Fund from day one of their UCLA experience, and we hope you’ll make giving part of that experience.
