It may run contrary to the conventional image of a sport obsessed with the latest technological improvement but, from Stockholm to Shanghai, players are turning back the clock to take part in the latest craze -- hickory golf.
Louisville Golf {Your Persimmon and Hickory Golf Concern} Here is a preview of our new Persimmon driver for 2010 (available in March), the SMART ProB.E. It is made from a model we made for Bob Estes in 2001. The model just kind of stayed on the back burner until we wondered why we hadn't turned a driver for our product line from it. This is what we cane up with:

If you have seen "Avatar," about 30 minutes into the movie you will notice our Louisvlle Golf wood mallet putter prominently used by actor Giovanni Ribisi. In this video you can see a flash of the putter as it is taken away from the actor in the scene. It is in the 4th segment, and Jimmy Fallon and Giovanni talk about ...the action figure that includes said golf club. If you haven't seen the movie, make sure that you do - it is more than a movie, it's an experience.

I could go on and on about why I think replica equipment is appropriate for Hickory golf, but I would just like the opportunity to address the concerns that have been presented, which seems to be that original equipment and replicas are not on a level playing field.
