This is a photos of Mark Currys Colocasia Gigantea. Mark works for me and took 3 plants home. These plants were in 4 inch pots and they were planted a bit late in the season. I believe he got them just over 8 feet tall. With morning sun and afternoon shade.
Here is Mark with his plant this was taken mid summer and it grew larger than this photo.

Brian's Botanicals I am very interested in seeing photos of peoples Colocasia Gigantea (Thailand Giant). I have grown them to 8 feet tall and have friends that have gotten them even larger. Do any of you have amazing photos of this plant anyone have the largest plant the tallest or largest leaves? So post your photos and let see who has grown this one the best.

Brian's Botanicals Cool weather has started coming in to Kentucky. We have started bringing in all the tender tropicals for the year. A lot of plants will be tested for cold hardiness it seems this season.

The IAS now has a facebook account. If you are not familiar with the IAS it is the International Aroid Society. This society deals in all the plants of the Araceae family such as Alocasia Colocasia Amorphophallus Philodendrons and so one. Many of the plants I sell and grow are in this family and if you are as crazy abo...ut these plants as me joining the IAS is a must. Here is a link to both their website and their new Facebook account

Brian-I had NO idea you had a Facebook! I always click on ONLINE store everytime I hit your home page, so I warp right past it...glad I found you! I am going to try to make it to Louisville to visit you in person...I've been DROOLING over your website for quite a few years now, and your site is what convinced me that... I could tackle tropicals that most people would avoid here (SC). I have "rescued" quite a few Basjoo's, and after two years in the ground here, I've got a 14 footer. I have turned 2 Portora's into about 14 in two years, and 3 Dwarf Cavendish nanners into what I've counted at 17 this year!!! Lord, regular plants are so boring! I want Pink China more than anything right now, but would settle for one of the PUNY Alocasia Borneo Giants!! Anyhoo, glad to have found you on here!!!Read More

Allen Brian, Thanks so much for touring us around yesterday. I loved seeing what you're doing. Of course, it's always fun coming away with a few plants, too. THANKS! Come and visit sometime.
