The application deadline for the first annual Acorn Awards has been extended until February 15th, 2010. We will present the awards at the 2010 Brightside Green Tie Bash!
Each year, The Acorn Awards will honor one large corporation and one small business, as well as an individual and a group who benefit our “glocal” comm...unity by being good environmental stewards, practicing sustainable development, conserving resources and managing their efficient use, using best practices, reducing waste, or raising the awareness of green issues. We celebrate the success of all the nominees, as well as our eventual first annual Acorn Award winners.

Eco-Drama, free of charge to all Louisville third grade classrooms, is an environmental education program coordinated in partnership with Stage One. Eco-DRAMA provides students and educators with an active approach to exploring environmental issu...es with drama-based instructional strategies. Students explore environmental issues such as recycling, litter, clean water and energy awareness.
