Kentucky Derby Museum WLKY and Kentucky Derby Museum "It's My Derby" day at Churchill Downs

Kentucky Derby Museum

Kentucky Derby Museum
Come out to the track to meet WLKY- TV personalities and share your Derby memories Friday, November 20th during happy hours at Churchill Downs! Bring your favorite Derby story, memory or tradition to the Aristides garden near the paddock between 3 and 6 pm to share with the WLKY camera crew. Share with us the crazy, th...e zany, the heart-wrenching and lucky- we want to hear them all. The videos may be aired on WLKY, be included in an online exhibit or they could become part of the new “It’s My Derby” exhibit for all the world to see in the renovated Museum, re-opening this April. Bring any photos or memorabilia you’d like to show off and of course bring your Derby story!

Each person who records a memory will be entered to win 2 tickets in the trackside corporate village for Oaks or Derby 136. Trackside Village at Churchill Downs will provide you and a guest a spectacular Kentucky Oaks & Derby experience. This glass-enclosed unit on the famous first turn features two floors and a sizeable second-story patio with a panoramic view of the track and Clubhouse. Valued at over $2,000, these tickets include admission, program and exclusive catering package. The drawing will be held at 6pm after the last recording.

“It’s My Derby” is a project of the Kentucky Derby Museum, WLKY-TV and other local media partners.

Kentucky Derby Museum
The museum is very excited to share with you the news that we are renovating! An August flood destroyed many of our exhibits on the first floor and devastated the lower level offices, artifact storage areas and museum archives. We’ve faced the adversity head on and we’re now looking forward to a brighter future.
The Ken...tucky Derby Museum will re-open on Sunday, April 18, 2010 with new exhibits, more interactive experiences and a fresh mission of sharing the FUN of the Kentucky Derby experience. Read more about it here : http://www.derbymuseum.org/news/?p=175Read More
