The counties are in Virginia (area 7: Caroline County and City of Fredericksburg). I work for a nonprofit, that has hired me to feed people in 10 counties over all... We are a Community Action Agency that works towards helping people be more self-sufficient. This year we're focusing on 2.5, and then growing (pardon pun) the program from there... Read More... you can check out our facebook page: Community Food Program @ Quin Rivers. I am working with local churches, organizations, government, etc, getting people involved in the various different aspects of our program. I would LOVE to see some more Presbyterian support.

just planted onions, garlic, turnips & carrots. Pulled the last of the tomatoes and am trying to save some seeds. left the zuch to sit along with the basil although first frost is coming along sometime soonish.

"Every Family Feed a Family" is the theme of our Deacons food drive. In addition to non-perishables, we are asked to bring a manual can opener, aluminum roasting and cake pans, and seasons and spices. The list was complied by an agency that will distribute the food.
