UofL Department of Physics & Astronomy These are pictures taken 2 days after our big ice storm in January/February 2009. Not too many people were venturing out yet, which actually made getting to work a bit easier! Lots of tree damage around our building and elsewhere on campus - as well as the rest of the city!

UofL Department of Physics & Astronomy We are going to celebrate and kickoff our new degree programs - the Ph.D. in Physics and the BS in Atmospheric Science - with three days of events. The focal piece of the celebration is the First Andrew Chamblin Memorial Lecture, presented by Nobel Laureate Frank Wilczek.
