LoveBug isn't quite what she appears to be. Do not expect happy hardcore, slow melodic trance, or radio cheese. Not everything is what it seems, and LoveBug is no exception. She's not just another yummy gummy DJ out to get popularity votes. Named for one of the fastest spreading viruses known to computer technology, LoveBug's infection is swift and total, and completely undetectable. You see, you won't know you're infected.... because you'll love every minute of it.
Consider yourself warned.
LoveBug started playing records in the August of 2004, with only a basic knowledge of the kind of music she liked. She got a hold of some records and started learning how to beat match on her own. In March of 2005 she started her UK tutelage, and it was then that she began to understand what her chosen style was all about. With a push in the right direction, she molded her style around what she began to know as Hard Dance. She kept the turntables and vinyl for another year, and then in the winter of 2006, she traded them in for a pair of Pioneer CDJ800s. With an expanded library and a medium she was more comfortable with, she was able to increase her ability and use her skills effectively.
More than two years later, LoveBug has arrived. Immediately recognized by some of the top talent in the area and noticed by some of the heaviest hitters in Seattle's dance scene promotion, she came into her own as a rising star, and LoveBug was well on her way to taking hold of Seattle and showing them what being a Hard Dance DJ is really about.
Now, she has focused her attention to a new area of Hard Dance, a genre straight out of the northwest UK and developed by the scousers of Liverpool. Scouse House, or as it's more commonly known, Donk, is still finding its way outside of its tiny region of origin. With a somewhat reduced interest in fame and popularity, LoveBug plays only for the integrity of the music, to share a love of Hard Dance, and introduce a new sound to a city who is begging for music like this.
This is LoveBug.
