Beaver Camp

Beaver Camp Attention Men! Looking for a chance to swing a hammer, eat lots of tasty food, hunt, fish and enjoy great fellowship; all for free? Then consider coming to Beaver Camp October 31-November 2. You might be asking how this can be free? The goal of the weekend is to have a traditional barn…ah…cabin-raising with all volunteer labor. This new cabin will replace Spruce as a summer camp cabin. Other special features over the weekend will include meaningful fellowship with other believers, an optional 4 a.m. continental breakfast Sunday for those of you who love to hunt, and an optional early arrival on Friday for those able to help us get a jump start on the new cabin. The retreat officially starts at 7 pm Friday and lasts through Lunch on Sunday. Although this retreat is free you do need to reserve a bunk. Please call 315.376.2640 or email mike@beavercamp.org to register. We are still fundraising to complete the cabin so if you are able to make a donation that will be great!

Beaver Camp

Beaver Camp The board has approved the resurfacing of the ballcourt this year (pending fundraising)! I am sure everyone will miss the divots and holes, valleys and hills that made basketball playing so much fun...

The board has also approved the demolition of Oak motel to make room for a new cabin similar to Juniper and Tamarack (also dependent on fundraising). DEmolition will begin in July and hopefully construction will begin in the Fall on the new cabin! When completed, Spruce and Blue Spruce will be decomissioned as summer camp cabins, eventually removed.

In the next few days I am going to scan old staff group photos into this page - I invite anyone else to do the same.

Mike
