He is the far right bottom pic. I'm so proud of him. He was looking rough when I first adopted him. We were honored to help judge Long Beach's Howl'oween dog-costume contest Saturday, but while we were having a blast with L.A.'s most pampered pets, our colleague Lu Parker of KTLA News was busy helping homeless pets find new adoptive families....
Lu Parker Since I've been doing a lot with the shelters here in LA, I find it hard to sleep at night. I often see this image. It's heartbreaking. PLEASE encourage your friends and family to ADOPT and don't buy. It's one of the most important messages we can spread.

PET LOVERS IN LOS ANGELES: I need your help to spread the word. My friends and I are helping the SOUTH LA Animal Shelter put on an event on Halloween day. It's a chance for the community to see all the beautiful dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. Truly there are soooo many. We will have candy for kids and a costume ...dog parade around Noon. Please tell your friends to come if only for a bit. KTLA will even likely be there. The location is only 10 blks down from the 10FW. We want to find them all good homes. Got an old blanket or towel?
