A lack of ethics on the part of business leaders clearly contributed to the current economic conditions. Business in not about profits anymore, it is about adding value to the society as whole. As the original Hippocratic Oath said: " I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts," as leaders of the free economy, we must make decisions that are true to our virtues.

The oath is too vague. What does "safeguard" mean, and how do you safeguard everyone in a zero-sum game? IMO, what this oath does is safeguard MBA salaries by implying false integrity to the degree. Why don't you guys do something serious, like swear off stock-option pay? That would make a difference.
