MCT Community Theatre Thanks to the cast of A Christmas Carol for their efforts at the work party yesterday!

MCT Community Theatre
Delightful new music brings Ebenezer Scrooge to life in this musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale "A Christmas Carol—The Musical". Relive the lessons of the spirits of Christmas past, present and future as they show him the error of his ways. A Christmas Carol is a hopeful affirmation of the good in ever...yone.
UNCLE JIM'S STRAIGHT SCOOP: Talk the little ones through the plot and remind them that the scary ghosties are really the good guys. Christmas color, singable tunes and a few innocent scares—"A Christmas Carol" is great for anyone who loves the holidays—I hope that includes you.

Set in a World War II island paradise, two parallel love stories are threatened by the injustices and dangers of prejudice and war. Sixty-five years later, we still find threats in the “injustices and dangers of prejudices and war.” The sensuous, meaningful music of Rodgers and Hammerstein is as timeless as the story—f...ull of romance, humor and irony. South Pacific is truly one of the crowning glories of musical theatre. Don’t miss it!
UNCLE JIM'S STRAIGHT SCOOP: The younger kids may miss some of the subtleties of the story, but the occasional near-slapstick fun and a couple of child leads should hold their interest. This is a beautiful show. I don’t know why we waited so long—19 years—to bring it back.
Music by Richard Rodgers
Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II
Book by Oscar Hammerstein II & Joshua Logan
Adapted from the Pulitzer-Prizewinning novel Tales of the South Pacific by James A. Michener
Produced by special arrangement with R&H Theatricals.
