ABOUT COUNTERCOUTURE:
CounterCouture's name is derived from the '60s and '70s countercultures and represents progressive thinking in fashion. The company takes donated bridesmaid dresses and partners with local fashion designers to transform them into upcycled modern, sexy cock...tail dresses.
CounterCouture works with young, independent creatives for all it’s executional needs. Founder Angie Arner says “I’m hoping for CounterCouture to act as a marketing, sales, and public relations generator for new talent, so we can all grow together.” The company also implements as many green business practices as possible, from operations to production. Arner says the company is a force for innovation that will push the fashion industry to do more with sustainable design – including incentivizing the return of bridesmaid’s dresses for reuse or upcycling.
