Powerbook G4? It's pretty good, especially in comparison to most Windows-based laptops out there. Unfortunately, you're a bit behind in the times my friend, intel-based macs is where it's at now. Running Mac OS X programs via intel is incredibly lucid and simply sleek in terms of utmost performance. Running OS X apps via PPC is A-OK and all, you're not far behind, but I would definitely recommend getting yourself an intel-based mac next go-around.

The brand spankin' new iMacs are Intel-based (core 2-duo) with 3.06GHz.
