Melanie Fish

Melanie Fish Back when I was a child my Grandmother would take me to the Island and we could go up on the deck of the Grand Hotel and sit there and sometime we would have lunch in the Hotel Dining room. Now days don't really care to go over there. Nice as a kid.

Don - you're right. I've been to the island in the winter and have walked on the porch of the Grand when everything is closed up and sheets are all over the furniture inside, and YES, it looks like the hotel in "The Shining"!! - It's quite eerie and it made me very uncomfortable. I felt shivers run up my spine (and it wasn't from the cold weather). I LOVE the Grand in the summer, but it's a very scary looking place in the middle of winter!
