Madame Pamita
Madame Pamita uses the powers of euphonious prognostication to tell audience member fortunes and plays songs written both by herself and by those who have moved on to the great beyond - Stompin rural blues, old time, jug band and proto-jazz numbers.

Madame Pamita
A Supernatural Musical Spectacular!

Be transported to the birth of recorded music as fortunetelling songstress, Madame Pamita (along with the wildly talented Mister Patrick Weise on musical saw), brings her own bizarre and unique American medicine show to town. Coming all the way from the city of Los Angeles with her pa...ck of tarot cards in one hand and a ukulele in
the other, she brings a wagon-load of authentic rural blues, jug band and comic proto-jazz numbers to curious seekers.

Appearing with her will be the magnificent Tom Rodwell - a guitarist and vocalist, performing pastiche-free and largely improvised music influenced by blues and slave-era spirituals, with dashes of primitivist psychedelia and calypso thrown in for good measure.

A Supernatural Musical Spectacular!

Be transported to the birth of recorded music as fortunetelling songstress, Madame Pamita (along with the wildly talented Mister Patrick Weise on musical saw), brings her own bizarre and unique American medicine show to town. Coming all the way from the city of Lo...s Angeles with her pack of tarot cards in one hand and a ukulele in
the other, she brings a wagon-load of authentic rural blues, jug band and comic proto-jazz numbers to curious seekers.

Appearing with her will be the magnificent Tom Rodwell - a guitarist and vocalist, performing pastiche-free and largely improvised music influenced by blues and slave-era spirituals, with dashes of primitivist psychedelia and calypso thrown in for good measure.

Also appearing will be the inimitable Borough Cat, playing the ukulele and singing songs for the new depression - incorporating such themes as gentrification, incest, thievery, lullabies and romance. A 21st century songster. So?!

In addition, Duncan Miller, the impresario behind the Vulcan Wax Cylinder Record Co., one of only two functioning cylinder phonograph companies in the world, will be spinning the wax, literally. Mister Miller will be playing rare and unusual wax recordings and giving demonstrations of the earliest recording process.
