First a little site maintenance news. I just upgraded to version 2.8.2 and now I’m creating posts with the conveniently compartmentalized dashboard. Enough of that. Now on to the good stuff. ...

What do a fit model, janitor, construction company owner, lawyer, student, photographer, and web-designer have in common?

They all have a never ending passion for writing songs and performing their music.

So every Friday night, they throw their name in the hat at the UnUrban Coffeehouse for a chance to play. They get ten... minutes to sing two songs and live their dreams.

You're invited to a special screening of a documentary "This is How We Dream"

Friday, May 8
7:30 p.m.

The UrUrban Coffeehouse @ 33rd and Pico Blvd.
Free parking in the US Bank Lot across the street!

"This is How We Dream" is a film directed and produced by multi-talented musician, David Kowal. In it, he features a variety of local musicians doing their thing at open mic night and provides a glimpse into their offstage lives, ultimately revealing a common desire to express themselves in the best way they can, through music.

I have no idea how long the film is, but there's a three and a half minute trailer which you can view on YouTube (linked below), so I'm guessing the actual film is somewhat longer than that. :)

See you there.
Did you do the flyer for David?
I wonder what he's going to do with it after the screening? Public Access?

Madeline Wright
No, I didn't do the flyer. Last I heard this was making its way through a film festival/competition. For true public access perhaps it will wind up on YouTube for the world to see.
