University of Wisconsin General Surgery Residency Program Throughout the year the residency program hosts various social events for our residents and the faculty to enjoy. Last winter we had our first annual broomball challenge. After escaping any injuries, faculty and residents headed to a local Irish pub for dinner and drinks.

University of Wisconsin General Surgery Residency Program Every other year our residents participate in a team-building exercise. This is a chance for the different PGY levels to interact with one another in a non-clinical setting and deepen their working relationships while also having a bit of fun. Last July all of our clinical residents spent the day at a Habitat for Human...ity build in Sun Prairie. That evening Dr. Foley, our program director, hosted a dinner at his home.
