Madrigalia
This "Environmentally Sound" Program will highlight connections between choral singing, one of the most organic art forms, and our care for the natural beauty around us. The festivities on Sunday include a Silent Auction and Raffle for items donated by local environmental leaders at the reception. Attendees from Friday...'s concert may gain admission to Sunday's evens with their concert program.
Madrigalia joins forces with pianist Tony Caramia and their newly appointed Music Director, Lee Wright, to present an engaging program of standards and new repertoire sure to put a spring in your step! Centered around the tuneful flower songs of Benjamin Britten and Eric Whitacre, the program includes works by Bernstein, Gershwin, Rutter as well as gems by Brahms, Stanford, and Saint-Saëns. Additionally, the program highlights three settings of mystical texts by Hildegard of Bingen by Rochester Composer, Justin Wallace.
