Sara-Kate Connolly, the loner with the tough girl attitude introduces her popular classmate, Hillary, to her secret world: a tiny elf village created in Sara-Kate’s backyard. The girls’ friendship is challenged by other popular kids and even Hillary’s parents, but only grows stronger when Sara-Kate reveals the truth about her ailing mother. A beautiful story about the wonder of imagination and the strength of friendship, Afternoon of the Elves is a must-see for the upper elementary and middle school student!

SYNOPSIS:
It’s December of 1939, and the world is facing great challenges, but the Freitag household in Atlanta is consumed with more immediate matters, such as the world premiere of Gone with the Wind and whether or not Lala will secure a date for Ballyhoo, the Jewish social event of the season. The author of Driving Miss Daisy turns a sharply amused eye on matters of assimilation and prejudice, identity and romance, in this rich portrait of a family struggling to know its place.

Glory may be just a little kid, but she's in big trouble—she has accidentally unleashe...d the ruthless Rain King, Master of Sorrows, by opening an old locked book. Vowing vengeance on the world that imprisoned him, the Rain King kidnaps Glory's friend Pete and disappears back into the world of books. Of course Glory and her friends must follow, and soon they find themselves pulled from story to story—battling pirates, helping young Arthur pull the sword from the stone, and facing down bank robbers in the Wild West—in their quest to set things right back in their world. 9 Houston-area children perform this grand adventure tale!

Main Street Theater’s Autumn Follies Gala will... return on Friday, October 9, 2009!

Join Main Street for a star-studded, one-night-only benefit performance of the original musical send-up Montrose Mia,! showcasing the talents of the MST Company with cameo appearances by local celebrities, including Judge Ed Emmett, Houston Woman Magazine's Beverly Denver, the Houston Downtown Alliance’s Heather Pray, artist Wendy Wagner, Ernie Manouse, Host of PBS’ InnerVIEWS with Ernie Manouse, and HoustonPBS’ Doug Mueller.

The Follies will highlight an evening which will feature an auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres reception, the one-hour performance followed by a champagne dessert. The event will be staged at MST’s facility at Chelsea Market and will benefit the theater’s youth and outreach programs.

OK . . . so why does is ask me to "Join Main Street for a star-studded . . . " and "The Follies will highlight an evening . . . " accent on future tense "join" and "will", and even lists the schedule? Forgive me, but apparently somebody got lazy and didn't even bother to edit but merely re-posted the promo piece with the pics added.
