According to this system, Sunday's peak swell of 9.5 feet at 17 seconds should have translated into category 4, or 10-15'. Throw in the occasional 18 footer, and that sounds about right to us.

saturday down at sugar reef was irish sea big....max ebb you fall 6 feet or so into the beautiful clean front face and surf and surf and ooohhh, there's a 20 foot well rolling in under you. it was a day all others will be measured by....at least til next time! hope you guys had fun up there....i couldn't help but wonder what ram ledge looked like.

i don't see why some folks don't like hurricances....
