Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine Yesterday, Volunteer Director Eileen and the rest of the staff inducted Connie Vickery into the Mike Williams Society in recognition of at least 300 hours of volunteer time with us. Connie scrapbooks a personalized wish folder for each child and we are grateful to have her a part of the Make-A-Wish.

If you attended wish granter training in 2006 or before and have not been to a Recommitment since, our procedural standards require you to do so.
This Recommitment is planned especially for our Aroostook County friends as well as our wish granters in the greater Bangor area, so we realize this training is a hike for t...hose of you from southern Maine. If you were not able to attend the Portland or Waterville Recommitments held earlier this year and would still like to continue as a wish granter, please let Eileen know. We will be scheduling our 2010 Recommitment sessions after the New Year, and we will contact you when those dates are set.
An added note: The Recommitment session will be at the end of a full wish granter training on November 14th, so if you know someone who would like to attend as a new wish granter, please have them call Eileen at 221-2306 for further information. We are in need of more volunteers in Aroostook County, so pass the word!

Brianna's wish granters delivered her proclamation to her doorstop along with festive carved pumpkins. Upon finding it, she read that her wish to "Go to Scotland and Search for the Lochness
Monster" will be granted!
