Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado hosted a Young Professional Advisory Council (YPAC) 2010 kickoff meeting last night. YPAC members promote the Make-A-Wish Foundation to their business networks and peers. They also manage several fun and successful events including the annual kickball tournament. Welcome new members and thank you to all for your service.

Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado is seeking auction items for its March 4 Sporting Affair -- a fundraising dinner where Colorado sport heroes will "moonlight" as waiters. Items donated are tax deductible and will be marketed to 300 event attendees, 2,000 Facebook fans/Twitter followers and 4,000 newsletter subscribers. Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado is "auctioning" a 2010 Rose Parade package with four reserved seats and a parking pass. If anyone in the greater-Denver area might want the tickets, please call Melissa at 303-750-9474. The seats are located at 550 E. Colorado - Aisle 3, Row V, Seats 103-106; parking is at 499 E. Green. The total package is worth $280.... All reasonable offers will be considered... the money will go toward granting wishes!
Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado Wish kids spent time with Santa this morning on 9NEWS. At 2 p.m. today (12/13) Santa will be at the Cherry Creek Macy's to visit with other children and collect letters from the Believe mailbox. Each letter equals $1 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation!

Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado Tune in to CBS tonight at 7 p.m MT to watch the new animated special "Yes, Virginia." Wish child Taylor's voice and likeness is featured as a character. Also remember to "Believe" and bring those letters to Santa -- he'll be at the Cherry Creek Macy's Sunday at 2 p.m.

Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado Approximately 350 children with life-threatening illnesses had an opportunity last Friday (Dec. 4) to select gifts – free of charge – for their siblings, parents, and grandparents at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado’s 24th annual Holiday Wish Store, sponsored by Helzberg Diamonds. Other fun activities included a ...crafts room, magicians, face painters and of course, a chance to talk with Santa. Thank you to all the companies and volunteers who supported this event that puts smiles on so many faces.

Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado Colorado-based Maptek, a mining industry software and solutions provider, recently hosted Growvember to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado. In this unique fundraiser, 26 Maptek employees literally “let their hair down” by growing their beards as long as possible and collecting pledges for their efforts. The...ir hard work – or lack of shaving – resulted in $7,500 for the foundation. Maptek also hosted a Growvember in 2007.
