Is issuing a press statement regarding the death of Michael Jackson really what New Yorkers need now? -particularly when both parties have ground the system to a halt? ....and if so, why no mention of Farrah or Ed McMahon? really? How much does it cost to issue a press statement ?

Don't you understand, nobody cares about whether you are President Pro Tem of the Senate? You are obviously not a statesman or a person of principle or even a very good politician and you have proved that beyond a doubt to all of us. What do you bring to the job other than your self serving and apparently completely unrestrained ambition? Do you honestly think that people will trust you with their government after this?

This was an illegal and unlawful attempt to gain control of the Senate and reverse the will of the people who voted for a Democratic Majority. Nothing has changed, Senator Malcolm A. Smith remains the duly elected Temporary President and Majority Leader...

Malcolm A. Smith Ethics reform has generated a tremendous amount of discussion across the state over the past few days. I joined my colleague Senator Daniel Squadron at a press conference to discuss the proposed legislation today, and I believe this is a priority issue for the people of New York.

Senator Smith - please don't go home without passing S. 177 and S. 3296c, two bills that will protect our most vulnerable New Yorkers - infants and children - from two toxic chemicals that can alter development resulting in life long health effects.

Malcolm A. Smith The HRTC bill was passed unanimously by the Senate this morning. This is exactly the kind of smart economic development program that will help us turn this economy around and strengthen our communities. Our State’s ability to attract new businesses and investment will increase dramatically, and will help us produce the... kind of results that the people of New York expect and deserve.

You're a disgrace! How can you vote for a bill and then support the governor's veto of the same bill you voted for? Shame on you!
