I have just had terrible news from Spain-my mum went to Cambrils yesterday to find that the police are prohibiting the feeding and even leaving water for the stray cats.
I am looking into it at the moment but the local Town Hall never reply to my emails. I am trying to contact the newspapers at the moment.
What a cruel ...and ineffective way of 'solving' the cat 'problem' and typical of their inhumane attitude.

I will do a proper update soon but it was every bad news about my Teddy in Spain.
Poor dear Teddy had to be put to sleep as he was ill apparently-I am still trying to piece together the whole story. I'm so sorry he didn't make it to the U.K and the comfort of a life away from the struggle on the streets. He would have b...een coming in June....so near, yet so far.....due to our strict quarantine laws.
R.I.P Teddy-you were a lovely boy and I will miss you.

I am off to Spain next week and am dreading it a little as my special cat, Teddy, (they are all special of course but he is extra special!) has vanished. He is rabies jabbed and microchipped with my details ready to be brought to the U.K when his quarantine period is over in June. I couldn't put him through the trauma... of quarantine kennels as he would have loathed it-he goes nuts at the vets and turns into a hissing, spitting, scratching fiend! I had to put him back at the harbour but under the watchful eye of my friend Sagrario who fed him daily. I have heard that some French men took him to the vets as he was sick but have heard no more. He wasn't actually sick... but his eyes were still bad and it made him look a bit of a sorry state. I only hope that I can find out more when I go. The best case scenario is that the men fell in love with him and took him home but the worse case scenario doesn't bear thinking about...so positive thinking is needed. Fingers crossed please!
