Oh yes, here in America people like President Obama's handling of the Afghan and Pakistan problem except Fox news and the Republican mouthpieces who can't seem to appreciate the good things he's been doing since assuming office. More power Mr. President!

President Obama's speech reminds me of former President Johnson's following the Gulf of Tonkin incident. As a result, I and many more went off to do our duty. Many did not return. Again, I watch as many of my friends make preparations to go to Afghanistan to "fight their war". I hope their mission is clear and that they are not just being used as pawns in a game of political folly.

This incident should not be allowed to pass without government taking a strong hand and immediate action to bring the perpetrators and everyone involved be they political warlords and henchmen, para-military forces or rebel groups to account for their crimes and be given the punishment they deserve under the limits of the law.

Opening up 'dialogue' between the United States and ASEAN partners is good because it serves as good measure to secure common understanding an enhance cooperation on bilateral issues such as economic, trade, immigration and even on security aspect between U.S. and ASEAN members.
