Dare to Dream Theatre will be holding auditions for Disney’s Aladdin Jr. on November 20th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. & November 21st from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Callbacks will be Monday, November 23rd. Looking for girls and boys age 6-18. Auditions will be held at 634 N. 10th Street in Manitowoc.
Walk-ups are welcome, although registration is encouraged.

Manitowoc Area Visitor & Convention Bureau PK’s Beans N’ Cream are celebrating 50 years of selling Christmas trees this year. Please join them in this celebration starting Thanksgiving week. Be sure to ask for your free large coffee at time of purchase of a tree. Special hours during this time will be 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Join the community in celebrating the maritime Christmas tree ship tradition of years gone by at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum. On December 12 at 10:30 a.m., Santa will arrive in Manitowoc with his cargo of trees donated by Drumm’s Christmas Trees of rural Maribel aboard the McMullen & Pitz Construction Company’s tug ...Dauntless.
Visitors can warm up inside the Museum with refreshments and purchase holiday treats at a bake sale. Children can visit with Santa inside the Museum and make their own Christmas craft to take home!
On December 12, admission to the museum is free and includes the following activities:
9 a.m. - Noon – Holiday bake sale and children’s Christmas craft activity
10:30 a.m. – Christmas Tree Ship arrives along the Riverwalk, west of the submarine. Caroling provided by Washington Junior High School’s Washington Carolers
10:45 a.m. - Noon – Visit with Santa inside the Museum

The Manitowoc County Historical Society will be opening a new temporary exhibit, “Words to Live By”, at the Manitowoc County Heritage Center, 1701 Michigan Avenue, Manitowoc.
This unique oral history exhibit features the stories, lessons and "words to live by" of 21 Manitowoc County residents, representing each of our... 18 townships.
Join us for the grand opening on Thursday, December 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. An opening presentation will be held at 7:00 pm in the Mirro Auditorium.
The exhibit will be on display until spring 2010. Admission is $5 adults, $4 children, $12 families. There is a discount for MCHS members. The Heritage Center is open Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Unfavorable fishing weather and the changing of the seasons made for a poor fishing week in the Manitowoc and Two Rivers area. Few, if any anglers were out in boats or fishing the harbor and piers this week because of the rain and wind last week...
