The meeting went great! Mike and I were invited for dinner first and then I spoke about the ministry. Some had heard of it before and some hadn't. I was also told by a Love volunteer to check there for extra bread that they can't use! Someone also mentioned to call Panera and see how much bread they would donate... maybe muffins too! I thought I had someone working on that but now I can't remember! :/

I will have at least 1, maybe 2 people with me. I have no idea how many bags or boxes there will be so not sure how much help we will need. An extra person or 2 might be a help. We hadn't planned on counting the number of items as we literally have thousands of items to sort. We will be sorting out only those items you specifically told us. If we have peanut butter and jelly donated do you want that or should we give them to Love? I know you recently bought a large amount of PB.

I will try to get a couple more people to help unload tomorrow. The numbers of the products aren't a big deal... I will make sure to take pictures so I can post them. I can still use the peanut butter either at the end of this year or the beginning of next year so I will take that but the jelly could go to Love since that needs to be refrigerated once opened.

Manna Ministries received more money from the elementary schools and 4th/5th grade school that still came in from the penny drive... just got done counting it... $34.30! Thanks everyone!!!!

Manna Ministries is starting a Gordon Food Service fundraiser... pick up a form at Lighthouse Community Church (or at Evergreen, Springview, Oakwood school offices) to get your card to scan with every purchase and raise money for Manna Meals! We need a minimum of $500.00 purchased every quarter to get 5% of the sales... the more purchased, the bigger the percentage of sales!
