Marci Liroff It's a great idea to keep a running journal or diary of your meetings and ALL the people you've met in Hollywood.
This way you'll have a shorthand when you get a callback.

Marci Liroff ALL the comedy greats came from Second City (Belushi, Aykroyd, Tina Fey, Martin Short to name but a few). They just had their 50 yr. anniversary http://bit.ly/5oB1Az

Looking back over the stories covered in 2009, a theme starts to emerge: America's fascination with individual achievement, and our never-ending search for heroes. In that positive spirit, USA WEEKEND magazine asked Brian Williams to pick the year's five 'best' news stories.

I love what Tina Fey says about improv when you're in a scene and someone starts talking: "You LISTEN, and you stop talking".

Private coaching, teaching my Audition Bootcamp, producing and self-publishing my DVD....all started this year. I was not fully prepared for how much I would LOVE giving back all the knowledge I have amassed over the span of my career. Pushing myself outside the safety of my comfort zone has stirred my creativity beyond what I thought was ... See Morepossible during such bleak financial times. It has proven to me, again, that it's not all about the financial return. Interacting with you all has been such a great experience this year and my wish is for us all to continue this wonderful community experience into the New Year. Blessings for everyone!

The labor laws are different state by state, and at certain ages there is a cut-off and that age group can work more(or less) hours. Not sure what their age requirements are about (it might be the right age for the part and they think below 12 is just too young for the part or it might be a labor law issue). Usually, the labor laws for the state that the child COMES from follow them to wherever the location is.
