For this one special performance only, The Georgia Ballet will have guest appearances by several local celebrities making their dancing debut. They include:

Your support will help these two Cobb County organizations, each celebrating its 50th anniversary, continue their commitment to the community. The Georgia Ballet provides ballet performances of the highest quality, excellent dance training, and extensive arts education in area schools; while CFR helps thousands of low-income families with employment, education, housing services, leadership development programs, mentoring opportunities, and temporary financial and food assistance.

The Center for Family Resources (CFR) has been providing Thanksgiving boxes to families in need in Cobb County for more than 20 years. CFR is working to preserve family traditions and treasured time together by providing everything each family needs to enjoy a meal at home together.

CFR has seen a 49 percent increase in... need during the first half of 2009 and has set a goal to provide baskets to 1,500 families!

Join us as we collect food! You are encouraged to bring items to help make it happen! The items can include canned fruit or vegetables, dried or canned potatoes, stuffing mix, non-refrigerated pie crust, roasting pans and canned pie fillings.

On Saturday, June 27, the Center for Family Resources hosted its first ‘10 Pin Challenge’ Corporate/Adult Bowling Tournament Fundraiser. The event, held at Brunswick Zone Lanes located on Delk Road in Marietta, welcomed 20 teams from local businesses, civic groups, churches and neighborhood associations. Teams were c...omprised of six players and included team t-shirts, two games and shoes. Guests enjoyed food, prizes, 50/50 raffle and cash bar and helped CFR raise over $7,000! Read More

The Center for Family Resources At CFR, our volunteers are priceless and come from all walks of life. Whether on loan from their company, retired and wanting to give back, doing a service learning project for their college or university, or giving their time and talent whenever they can, our volunteers help CFR accomplish its mission of strengthening individuals and families in Cobb County. Thank you to our volunteers!

The Center for Family Resources For more than 20 years, CFR has partnered with the Cobb County Department of Family and Children Services to provide Thanksgiving food boxes to families in need in Cobb County. In 2008, the event made history! With more than 300 volunteers, 56 school and community food drives, CFR was able to provide boxes to 1,370 families. The 2009 Thanks for Giving Program stands to be even bigger! Check back to help us!
