About the Fund |

Our mission is clear and focused, to provide a healthy lifestyle to underprivileged children, along with recreation and self confidence, while giving them the most convent gift as a child, while supporting safety in biking. How We Accomplish Our Goals Our mission to reach underprivileged children is accomplished by our close communication with over 1,000 organizations throughout the country who present us with a need for the communities they serve. Our funding comes from people like you who choose to make a difference. Through online donations, contributions through the mail and numerous fundraising efforts we continue to honor Mark Reynolds through the Children's First Bike Fund. How Donations Are Used Our expenses are very low, other than general business expenses, such as printing, postage dues to associated clubs, etc., there is absolutely no ADMINISTRATIVE SALARIES. We direct our donations to purchasing new bikes and helmets for the less fortunate children.
After graduating from MU in 1991, majoring in Business and Finance, he joined ICI Paint as a sales representative and had been promoted to Western Region Sales Manager before accepting a Sales Manager position in 2001 with Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In the Fall of 2002 Mark joined OMS Sports in Anaheim, California, as a MX/SX Senior Account Executive (Sports Agent for professional motocross riders). On January 8, 2004, while on a ride on a biking trail at Whiting Ranch, Mark was fatally attacked by a mountain lion. |

Mark Jeffery Reynolds, a native of St. Joseph, Missouri, lost his life in a tragic event while mountain biking near his home in California and the motocross and cycling community suffered a great loss. Although Mark is no longer with us, his legacy and passion for biking and giving continues through the Children's First Bike Fund. We invite you to spread the word to any family who has a child that has never experienced that joy and freedom a first bicycle brings. If possible, please make a donation today to keep Mark's legacy alive. You remember your first bike, don't you? |
