Bring the kids for a FREE afternoon of art and fun!

Family Day gives parents and children of all ages the chance to be inspired by art from the museum's permanent collection. Did you know that the museum has over 1,000 pieces of art in the permanent collection? Get a tour from a museum docent of comic books, Native Ame...rican baskets, Japanese prints and paintings and sculptures by local artists. Stay for the art activity and take home a souvenir from your visit!

Art projects are designed for children age six and up; all children must be accompanied by a parent. No registration is required; drop in anytime!

Graduating Seniors present their work from all areas of the School of Art and Design, including ceramics, drawing/painting, digital cinema, electronic imaging, furniture design, graphic communication, human centered design, illustration, jewelry/metals/blacksmithing, photography, printmaking, sculpture and woodworking.

Here's an interview the musician and artist did with NPR, where he talks about his music career ranging from DEVO to scoring soundtracks for films such as the Royal Tenenbaums. The show opens Thursday, Oct. 8 with a reception from 6-8pm!

Devo is back. Mark Mothersbaugh, lead singer of the seminal '80s New Wave band, talks about the group's new album and tour. He's also been busy with soundtracks for movies like Happy Gilmore, The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic.

We were thinking DEVO's Art Museum....just to be clear who owns it for the next 6 weeks! Mark will be at the reception via Skype video chat, which we'll project on the wall in the gallery so people can meet Mark and ask questions.
