I special ordered that "black beauty" from Gibson in '77 brand new for $799! I still have a '58 Les Paul reissue flametop that you can see on the back of my "Your Glory" CD. That is my "go to" guitar and I will always try that one with any track just for reference. I like Les Pauls for their hard, flat, ebony fret boards... and of course that ... See Morekiller tone that Pauls only can make...especially with a nice Marshall amp. Price Ranges are all over the place today depending on the age and finish ect...RIP LES PAUL and thank you! (Not the guitar...the man:-)
