You may also want to familiarize yourself with the present child support legislation. My girlfriend has been waiting for more than two years from family maintenance to collect $13K of court mandated child support payments from her former husband. We should find new ways of closing loopholes so that delinquents are not able to use their corporations and new wives to shield their incomes; in the end, the taxpayers of BC end up supporting these kids instead of the wayward parent.

Sorry Mary, as I have a space limit, I also wanted to mention now that you are our MLA please do what you can to make our friend Chief Chu's job a little easier by working with the justice minister to further pressure the federal government to remove the wiggle room of those judges in our counts and especially appeal counts from overturning sentences and thus setting these dangerous offenders loose on our society time and time again.
