The Maryville College Preparatory Piano Program will be moving into the new Clayton Center for the Arts in January 2010. With more studio space, plans are underway to expand the current piano program and, possibly, include instruction on other instruments in the future.

The Orchestra at Maryville College and the Maryville College Community Chorus will present a “Holiday Festival” concert at 7:30 p.m., Mon., Dec. 7 at the Maryville First Baptist Church, which is located at 202 West Lamar Alexander Parkway.

Maryville College Footloose in the Foothills, a benefit for Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service of Blount County, will get underway at 5 p.m. in the Alumni Gym at Maryville College. The event will be full of shopping, food and fun for the family," and Carl Gombert's band, Pistol Creek Catch of the Day, is scheduled to perform. Tickets at the door are $10 per person.
