Massachusetts PTA
By special arrangement with the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC), Massachusetts PTA® is co-sponsoring a workshop, "Empowering Parents", as part of the MASC/MASS Joint Conference at the Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis on Saturday, November 21st. The workshop is being offered to parents of p...re-K – 12 students who are members of PTA or other parent groups.
In these complex times, our kids are counting on all of us to speak with one voice to be strong and effective advocates for maintaining standards and high quality education. The Empowering Parents workshop will be led by a panel of Superintendent, School Committee, State PTA, and Community leaders.
Part two of the workshop, led by MASC staff, immediately follows and includes a School Council Orientation session that will help parents and School Committees learn about how to engage in effective school policy; please extend this invitation to any parents on site-based councils at your school, as well.
There is no charge to participate (9:00 AM – 11:45 AM), but seating is limited. Please RSVP to presidentelect@masspta.org to let us know you will attend.
Our children will thank you!

Massachusetts PTA One Cause and Capital One are looking for 6-10 PTA leaders in the Boston area to come to One Cause’s Boston office on September 11, 2009 to take part in a usability test for the One Cause and Capital One Card Lab connect program. Participants will go through the sign-up process One Cause and Capital One intend to use for PTA members and give feedback on ease of use, etc. Let me know if you are interested.
