I am a student in the Upper 6th at St Wilfrids College in Blackburn. After I have graduated, I intend to attend University and then move into a career based upon football journalism; mainly providing commentary and analysis on various football matches, hopefully in the Premier league.... Read More
After watching professionals doing their jobs on Match of the Day, a career in which I may be interested in moving on to, on television for numerous years, I decided to contact you.
I write to ask if I could possibly come down to your studios at one weekend and oversee what happens on the set, as well as experiencing what it is like to analyse a game under pressure from time.
This would be an unbelievable, valuable and intriguing experience for me and I eagerly anticipate a reply.

This page is run by Match of the Day, so to confirm it is official.
Unfortunately Edward we are not able to accommodate visitors to see MOTD in action, but we do sometimes arrange trips for media university students and through official charity auctions so keep an eye out for those.
We hope to put a behind-the-scenes film together at some point to give everyone the opportunity to see how the programme is put together, so hope that would be of some interest.

We have great news for you. The BBC has retained the rights to broadcast Premier League highlights up until the end of the 2013 campaign. This allows the BBC to continue to show Match of the Day on Saturday and Sunday and MOTD2 on Sunday evenings - and other evenings when fixtures justify...
