She would be driving down the road and out of the blue, she would hollar "write this down"! She was a blast to work with and had a natural ability to make the most awkward home health situation quite comical.

WOW now I'm really confused, when I go to your official web site no menion of GRACE there either? When I google to search for "Grace" it looks as thou Rolling Stone did a bit of a write up of it...Sad it was overlooked, the opening track you/Matraca did "Slow Position" is REALLY a very passionate & hot sounding recording..

Since it was on the POP division of RCA, I think she just doesn't include it. I agree, "Slow Poison" is one of my favorite songs of Matraca's, as well as GRACE's "Guns in my Head" (which should have been a rock radio HIT) and "Waiting for the Sky to Fall". You should hear Matraca's acoustic version of "Slow Poison" Lenny. It was recorded live on... Read More air and released on a promotional CD called GUNS IN MY HEAD...AND OTHERS. It shows up on eBay from time to time. You could probably get it at GEMM.com as well. A great promo CD with a few live radio performances. But the "Slow Poison" will blow you away! If you thought the studio version was good.......

Iva Snyder I have the original "Lying To The Moon" cassette and have just about worn it out. It is some of the best music ever written, especially "Appalachian Rain". I wish there more of the songs that you recorded available at karaoke.

We had been waiting months to see you at Eddie's Atic--it has been so long since you've come to Atlanta (used to see you at Swallow)--we had two tables reserved with new potential fans! And we heard the cancellation was bacuse it wasn't sold out in advnace. Well, with the Friday newpaper announcment I am sure you wpuld have filled the joint.
